We offer a 1-day package with a program full of unspeakable feelings. One full day to interact freely with nature, to become a harmonious part of it. To meet the dawn like an Armenian, to live his daily life, to enjoy the food he has earned.
From time immemorial, apricots have been an integral part of Armenian culture and life. Apricot tree, the “most Armenian tree”, is naturally originated in this biblical land. In Armenia, the fruits ripen from June 15 to August 20.
Early in the morning we will head to Deghdzut village, located on the left bank of the Azat River, south of Yerevan, at an altitude of 878 m above sea level.
We will participate in the harvest the apricots, sort, place in separate containers. Vodka lovers can be directly be involved in the initial stage of distilling vodka. Everyone will have their own thing to do. As the Armenian saying goes, “Those will have food, who have worked”. The course of the work will be intertwined with Armenian music, interesting stories and humor, until the time for the village lunch comes.
The participants will prepare the most favorite barbecue of Armenian cuisine on their own, taste dishes made from the fruits of the garden, enjoy Armenian national music, take part in Armenian dance master class, get acquainted with traditional Armenian rituals and life.
We will return to Yerevan late in the evening.
